The lifestyle in Robbinsville is probably influenced most by the existence of the Princeton Junction Train Station. Many of our residents make a daily trip to the mostly full parking lots for their commute to work.

The ongoing construction of the Washington Town Center by Sharbell and other development companies, is providing a new and growing hub for the residents of the township. Striving to keep the small town flavor of America with homes with porches and detached garages, it is sprouting from the ground at the corner of Robbinsville-Edinburg Road and Route 33.

The lifestyles of many families revolve around their children's attendance at the Washington Township School District. As a growing township, the Sharon School (elementary), the Pond Road School (intermediate), and Robbinsville High School (just opened in 2005) provide the children of residents with a quality education.

The close proximity to Princeton, NJ offers many cultural activities including McCarter Theatre, in addition to the arts program at the Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College located in neighboring West Windsor.

For the golfers who want to live near a course, Cranbury Golf Club and Mercer Oaks (which has two 18-hole public courses) are located within a short drive.

There are parks and recreation areas run by Washington Township, providing areas for basketball, tennis, soccer, etc. at a couple of locations in the townsihp.

Robbinsville is about a five minute drive to Mercer County Community College. Mercer serves over 30,000 people each year in their associate degree programs, credit and noncredit certificate programs, continuing education, corporate training, career training, youth programs, and summer camps for children. Many more come to campus for cultural activities, sporting events and the fitness center and pool. Your two years of education here can lead to furthering your education at nearby four-year institutions such as Princeton University, Rider University, The College of New Jersey and Rutgers University, as well as others.

There are several preschool facilities in or near the community.

Mercer County Lake has become reknowned as a venue for regattas. Activities at the Marina include fishing tournaments, regattas including rowing races between area schools, as well as the United States Rowing Association Pre-Olympic trials.Pedal Boat and Rowboat rentals are available on Lake Mercer, throughout the summer season. Private groups can reserve boats in advance to complement their picnic outing.

Robbinsville has several popular farm markets located along Route 130 providing an opportunity for the residents to pick up produce locally.

The Washington Township Volunteer Fire Company provides a valuable service to this community and its volunteer members have committed themselves to serving and protecting the residents of Washington Township.
